Phd Program
The Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs is an APA accredited program that is built on the Boulder Scientist/Practioner Model. The current program accreditation extends to 2029.
The deadline for application to the Ph.D. program is November 15.
* The GRE will not be required or recommended for Fall 2023 applications at this time. This applies to all psychology programs applications: PhD, MA Clinical, and MA Psychological Science.
The Psychology Department's doctoral program has two major areas that students choose between.
Geropsychology - Established in 2004, this scientist-practitioner model program produces students who become academics, practitioners, trainers and administrators in the area of Clinical Psychology with a Major Area of Focus in Geropsychology. The program follows the Pikes Peak Model of Competencies in Geropsychology.
Trauma Psychology - This scientist-practioner model program is designed to train students who have a particular interest in conducting research and working clinically with traumatized individuals. This area of study is based on the New Haven Competencies for Trauma Psychology.
