Dr. Magdalene Lim supports EDI research by matching students and faculty at UCCS with community partners interested in assessing the needs for more grief support; the population surveyed is specifically aimed to include as many diverse groups as possible to ensure that EDI values are incorporated for service delivery. Dr. Lim’s work through the Aging Center has also helped to increase focus on outreach efforts to underserved and diverse populations, including aiming to promote the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit (AWV) by collaborating with community partners and highlighting the disparities in the underutilization of AWV (which includes cognitive screens) by race and ethnicity.
